What materials do you build with?
For our cladding and roofing, we use the best, which is Colorsteel and Metalcraft. For timber, the supplier depends on price, quality, availability, and site location, but we always get the best. With kiln-dried timber and machine-rounded posts to ensure everything stays straight and level.
Can I build a consent-free Pole Shed?
Yes, you can on your rural property so long as we meet these requirements:
- Maximum floor area: 110m².
- Must be one story, with a height not exceeding 4m above floor level.
- Unsupported roof span must not exceed 6m.
- Building must not be used for storing hazardous substances.
- Cannot be in a wind zone greater than ‘high’ or with a design wind speed over 44m/s.
- Must be at least its own height away from any residential building, public road, railway, or legal boundary.
