Lifestyle building

metal sheds

Project Overview

The Situation

Martin and Marion Bennett wanted a lifestyle building that was great looking, very comfortable to live in, and had plenty of secure storage space. Martin said “We had always had 4 and 5 bedroom homes in the country and now that our 3 kids have all left home we still wanted the country living but didn’t need the big home. So a shed was a good option.”

What We Did

At 23m long and 10m deep overall, this building includes approximately 155m2 of living space over 2 levels. Comprising a 5m wide bay at the left end followed by four 4.5m wide bays, the first 2 bays consist of the living area and a tack room. The far end bay has a 4m high roller door to allow for a horse truck, with the 2 adjacent bays being used for cars and a boat.

The roof line was stepped down at one end to make the building look less block-like, while the raked ceiling makes the area seem open and spacious. Interior fit out was completed by Graham Membery Builders.

Client Testimonial

“The outcome is great. There is lots of storage space, plenty of room for a couple of classic cars and my own bar area in the shed. Still room for a horse truck if ever needed again. Marion focused on a trendy kitchen and lots of bifold doors to the outdoor living. Well done Waikato Sheds team, we can’t praise the workmanship enough. Nothing was too much trouble and we love the end result.”
